Masjid Dārimī Project in Islamabad

Masjid Imām al-Dārimī is an important mosque project in the city of Islāmabād, Pakistan, which is the second most populous Muslim country in the world. There is no charity greater in growth and bearing of fruit than charity given to establish a mosque from which the call to Tawḥīd and Sunnah is made in the midst of an ocean of misguidance comprising Shirk and Innovation. A mosque through which rectification of the servant and the land is made by Allāh’s permission. A mosque from which the call of the Prophets, that of taṣfiyah (purification) and tarbiyah (cultivation), is announced and taken to the people.

Sadly, most of the Muslim countries today are plagued with innovation, sectarianism, grave worship, fanaticism, party-loyalty and many other evils in addition to sins and disobedience. Likewise, the slow creep of liberalism (and atheism) has also manifested. Given all these parameters, the reward for establishing truth, striving in the path of Allāh and aiding His cause is tremendous.

Please consider donating to this noble cause.

01  The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: (مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ) "Whoever built a mosque, Allāh will built for him its like in Paradise."[1]

02  The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: (مَنْ بَنَى مَسْجِدًا لِلَّهِ كَمَفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ ، أوْ أَصْغَرَ ، بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ) "Whoever built a mosque for Allāh like the nest of a sandgrouse, or even smaller, Allāh will make for him a house in Paradise."[2] The sandgrouse makes its nest in the ground (not in trees or mountains), and it consists of a small depression in the ground, enough to lay a few eggs, surrounded with bits of straw. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) gave this similitude to highly emphasize the tremendous reward for participating in the building of a masjid, even if it be this size.

03  ʿUmar bin ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz (رحمه الله) said: “Prayer takes you one half of the way, fasting makes you reach the door of the King, and charity enters you upon Him.” And Yaḥyā bin Muʿādh (رحمه الله) said: “I do not know of any seed that equals the weight of the mountains of the earth, except the seed (grain) given in charity.” [3]

04  The Muḥaddith, ʿAlī bin ʿĪsā al-Wazīr (d. 334H) said: " I earned seven-hundred thousand (700,000) dinars (gold coins), and out of them I spent six-hundred and eighty thousand (680,000) in various types of righteousness (birr)."[4] This ʿAlī bin ʿĪsā was also very humble and modest, he said: “I never wore a thawb costing more than seven dinars.” Spending wealth for the pleasure of Allāh is from taqwā. The amount spent by ʿAlī bin ʿĪsā al-Wazīr according to today’s value of gold would be close to reaching £100 million GBP. Consider sparing some loose change for this mosque project.

05  No charity ever caused wealth to diminish and charity begins as a seed and turns into mountains the size of Uhud, and the likes of that becomes a shield from the Fire!
