Purifying Tawḥīd (Monotheism) from the Call to Idolatry: Refutation of a Jewish Rabbi's Claim That the Jews Will Be Worshipped as God When Their Messiah (Dajjāl) Comes

BACKGROUND: While claiming to be monotheists, it is asserted by some among the Jews that Christianity in which Jesus is worshipped as God has simply been a form of training for the nations in getting accustomed to what a Rabbi calls “Jew-worship.”

Subsequently, when their Messiah comes, people of all nations will want to worship a Jew because they are a manifestation of God on earth and there is no way to God except through worship of them. In this article, we document and refute this racist and ethno-supremacist religious ideology, which is rejected by all people of sound constitution, as all men and women, as creations and servants of their Lord, are equal before Him, and their virtue is through sound faith and righteous works, not tribal or racial qualities.

There is a note on Muslims and Antisemitism at the end of the article.

Introduction

IBRĀHĪM (عليه السلام) was an Imām, and ummah (leader, nation) unto himself in Tawḥīd (pure monotheism) (16:120-). He came from the region known today as Iraq and travelled from that eastern side of the world to the west, to the blessed land of Shām, having abandoned an idol-worshipping people. He settled in the Hijāz, in Paran, in Mecca where He established a house for Allāh’s worship. Ismāʾil and Isḥāq, his two sons, and Yaʿqūb (given the title of “Isrāʾīl”, Slave of Allāh), the son of Isḥāq, had twelve sons, known as Banū Isrāʾīl, (Children of Israel). They were all Muslims, monotheists, who singled out Allāh with worship, upon the legacy of their father, which was the statement, “Lā ilahā illallāh.” For a period, the Children of Israel were the best nation on the earth, by virture of Tawḥīd and the Law, which Mūsā (عليه السلام), was given some generations later.

None of them, from Ibrāhīm to Mūsā (عليهما السلام), knew of any religion called “Judaism” nor did they call themselves “Jews” (Yahūdīs). Judah is simply a tribe among the Israelites, it is not “Israel.” Rather, all of these Prophets were Muslims, worshipping and submitting to their Lord, whose name is Allāh (3:67-)(2:132-) and we as Muslims believe in all of the Prophets without differentiation (2:136-).

However, the Banū Isrāʾīl and among them, the Judahites, abandoned the truth, fell into wholesale apostasies and opposed their Prophets. Their situation declined further after the era of Sulaymān and Dāwūd (عليهما السلام), until they were punished and taken into exile to Babylon by the Magians, and then later dispersed after their rejection of ʿĪsā (عليه السلام) by the Romans. During that period, in Babylon, around the 6th century BC, while in exile, there appeared the seeds of a new religion, which developed into what is known today as Rabbinical Judaism, out which came the Talmūd, as well as the Kabbalah and Zohar (a system of occult knowledge and magic) and mysticism and other things.

Hence, chronologically, there are three categories:

  • The Banū Isrāʿīl, from the time of Yaʿqūb to Mūsā (عليهما السلام).
  • Then those who are the repentant (هائد عائد) (هاد يهود), with the meaning of repentance, those who worshipped the calf and repented.
  • Then those who call themselves Jews, upon a tribal doctrine which developed after the 6th century BC out of Babylon.

THE “RELIGIOUS ELDERS” of the Judaics who resided in Babylon from the 6th century BC onwards authored a new doctrine based upon race, nationality and land after a history of conflict and battle over territory. This was the foundation of a new religion called “Judaism”—a departure from the “Islām” of Mūsā (عليه السلام)—and was no longer centred around calling nations to monotheism, but around race, nationalism and land and protection of the “national identity”. They weaved it into their authorship of the Torah and also claimed a revealed “oral tradition” had been passed on through initiation since the time of Mūsā (عليه السلام). This later became the Mishnah and its commentary, the Gemara, as the Talmud in written form, after the era of ʿĪsā (عليه السلام). Despite claims of adherence to monotheism, this oral tradition was a mixture of the opinions of religious leaders, occultism, gnostic-spirituality, magic (matters they had picked up from other nations such as the Egyptians, Babylonians and Persians) and the shackles of invented observances and minutiae that became the basis for a despotic micro-management by religious leaders of the lives of their ordinary folk. It superseded the original Torah given to Mūsā (عليه السلام), though it is claimed to be an elaboration of it. The religious leaders assumed divine authority and demanded absolute obedience, even in their distortion of scripture. This religion is known as “Rabbinical Judaism” (God continuing to speak to the Jewish nation through the Rabbis, the religious scholarly elite, who possess a divine character) and has remained the dominant form of religion practiced by most Jews till today. Thus, the religion of Islām of Mūsā (and of all Prophets) and the task of preaching monotheism to the world that was once left with the Children of Israel—and subsequently taken away and given to the Children of Ishmael through Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)—was turned by the religious elite into a racial, tribal, nationalistic doctrine centred around land. This has remained the face of Judaism till this day.

There were present in and around Madīnah (Yathrib), descendants of Banī Isrāʾīl, from the lineage of Hārūn (Aaron), there were Cohenites, learned scholars, among them. They had migrated from Shām to this region, and had full knowledge that their Prophets used to make pilgrimage to the House built by ībrāhīm (عليه السلام). They anticipated the arrival of a Prophet from their lineage, who would lead them and gain dominion over the Pagan Arabs.

Then Allāh sent Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) whose sending is written in their books, from the lineage of Ismāʿīl. He, with the revelation of the Qurʾān, clarified that in which the People of Scripture [Jews and Christians] differed with respect to Jesus, Son of Mary (عليه السلام) and other affairs.

As for the Jews, then they charged the Christians with disbelief and idolatory for deifying Jesus and they were correct in that, but in error for their arrogant rejection of Jesus. And as for the Christians, they charged the Jews with denial of Jesus, and they were correct in that, but in error for their deification of Jesus. Enmity and persecution broke out between them in the centuries prior to Islām until the Jews were about to come to an end, having become a fringe oriental cult, and the Christians, had embroiled themselves in centuries of bickering, fighting, slaughter and persecution regarding the nature of Jesus. So Islām came, clarified the truth for them in that which they differed, saved both of them from their own self-destruction, gave them a special status as “People of Scripture”, and afforded them the chance to listen to revelation, repent and return to the truth that was revealed to Moses and Jesus (عليهما السلام).

The Qurʾān clarified and rebutted all of their doubts and misconceptions that were hindering them from the truth, until it became as clear as the night is from the day.

Thus, after their rejection of Jesus (عليه السلام) and Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), the Jews are still awaiting their Messiah (after being deceived, embezzled and made fools of by multitudes of fake messiahs over the centuries). And the Christians, after their rejection of Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), remained awaiting the return of Jesus, which is truth. Thus, there is al-Masīḥ al-Dajjāl, the one-eyed liar who will claim to be the Lord and demand worship and obedience from mankind, and he will put the nations and inhabitants of the world to trial. and there is Masīḥ al-Hudā, ʿĪsā Ibn Maryam (Jesus, Son of Mary), who upon his return will kill the one-eyed liar and judge by the Qurʾān, following which those who remain from the Jews will believe in him.

Prior to the Zionist project of establishing a Jewish homeland, Jews believed that they were in exile and had to wait for their Messiah to come, a political saviour who will lead them into their Promised Land. However, the Jews became divided as some of them saw Zionism as a secular project, led by Secularists, and the establishment of a state prior to the arrival of a Messiah to be a heresy, opposed to what is in their books. The Zionists had the money power behind them, managed to convert much of World Jewry into the Zionist ideology. They began a successful campaign of transforming the religious Jew into a patriotic, nationalistic, militarized Jew to serve the state. The Anti-Zionist Jews consider the Zionists and the State of Israel to be a rebellion against their God. They consider the Zionists to be misleading religious Jews into heresy an apostasy and have great enmity towards them. Despite these deep divides, they are all agreed that when their Messiah comes, they will be served by the nations.

After what has preceded, then among the Jews are found those who claim they are a manifestation of God on this earth, and that they will be worshipped in the same way that the Christians worshipped Jesus (عليه السلام), whom they consider a Jew from among them. Thus, while the Christians took a single Jew for worship as God, upon the arrival of their Messiah, the non-Jews will take every Jew for worship as God, with Christianity, effectively being "training" and "preparation" for that end.

And this is alongside their claim that they are monotheists, people of Tawḥīd!

So in this article, we will invalidate this falsehood and show the ignorance, speciousness and contradiction that lies therein and render this type of arrogant, supremacist and racist speech nothing more than the braying of an ass, which comprehends not the books it carries on its back. Further, that this is something whose falsehood even the children from among the Muslims—with their rudimentary knowledge of the foundations and basics of Tawḥīd—can recognise it as such.

Let us bring some of their statements:[1]

01 —When looking to worship God, Non-Jews are going to choose a Jew as the representation of God in this world

In this video, the Rabbi effectively claims—through his citation of Rambam (Maimonides)—that Christianity and Islām simply paved the way for the eventual realisation of the world, that Jews are God and that the non-Jews, in the era of their Messiah (Dajjāl), are going to choose a Jew to worship, as a representation of God.

  • Christianity and Islam paved the road for Mashiach
  • “They brought monotheism into the whole world.”
  • “Until Christianity most of the world was pagan.”
  • “When you're looking to worship God, you're going to choose a Jew as the representation of God in this world.”
  • The Jews are Hashem (God)

At the end he quotes Baal Shem Tov (d. 1760), a Ukrainian Jew, with a statement that amounts to what we understand as Ittiḥād and Ḥulūl, which is Divine union and indwelling. Basically, every Jew is in union with God and God indwells within him.

02 —What Christians said about one Jew is in reality, the truth about every Jew

In this video, the Rabbi claims that what holds true of Jesus, [whom he describes as a Jew], in the eyes of the Christians, holds true of all Jews, since they are manifestation of God on earth.

  • “The whole world, gentile world are going to serve them (Jews) as Godly.”
  • “What Christianity said about one Jew…is really the truth about every Jew.”
  • “The world looks at a Jew and what does the world see? A manifestation of Hashem (God) in this world.”
  • “When the Messiah comes, they are going to feel: ‘ I want to serve the Jew’.”
  • “Every Jew has a direct relationship with Hashem (God)… he is your direct source (to God).”
  • Hence, the only way to God is through the Jews, they are the conduit.

03 —Christians making Jesus divine is the definition of every Jew when the Messiah [Dajjāl] comes

  • “When they took one Jewish kid [Jesus] and they turned him into something that is divine … this is actually a forerunner of Mashiach”
  • “There is a symbol here of what is going to happen in the future, when Mashiach comes…”
  • “This will become the definition of every Jew”
  • “They chose one Jew, when Mashiach comes that’s every Jew”

04 —Every Jew is a Piece of God, There is Nothing More Godly Than a Jew, Even if He Says He is an Atheist

  • The average Jew and every Jew is a holiness and godliness, this has gone on forever.
  • “There is nothing more godly on the earth than a Jew.”
  • “He can say he does not believe in God, but of course he does, he is a piece of God.”
  • “If you don’t know this, you need to go back to kindergarten.”

Refutation of the Rabbi - General

01  The Meaning of Tawḥīd [Monotheism].

It is to abandon the worship of created things and to single out Allāh in worship with the worship of the heart, tongue and limbs.

This is what every Messenger including Nūḥ, Ḥūd, Ṣāliḥ, Shuʿayb (عليهم السلام) to Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) called to. It is what Ibrāhīm, Ismāʿʾi, Isḥāq, Yaʿqūb and his offspring, Banū Isrāʾīl were upon.

Allāh (عز وجل) said:

وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَّسُولًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا ٱللَّهَ وَٱجْتَنِبُوا ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying]: "Worship Allah and avoid false deities." (16:36)

The one worthy of worship is the One who creates, owns, regulates and provides. No one shares with Him in these actions, which is why He alone is worthy of worship. The Jews eat, drink, urinate, defecate, reproduce, become ill and die like the rest of mankind. There is nothing they or any of mankind possess of traits and qualities that makes them worthy of worship, or, as this Rabbi alleges, that will make every person on earth want to worship a Jew as God in the era of his awaited Messiah.

This Tawḥīd is the foundation of Islām wihch is the religion of all the Prophets and Messengers. It means to submit to Allāh, inwardly and outwardly, by observing His commands (orders and prohibitions). There is no other name for true religion except Islām and its adherents are “Muslims.”

02  Judaism is an innovated religion.

Judaism is named after a tribe, Christianity, after a title given to a man, Buddhism, after a man, Hinduism, after a geographical location and so on. These are all names invented by men, they are not names of true religion.

Allāh (عز وجل) said:

إِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْإِسْلَٰمُ

Indeed, the (pleasing and true) religion in the sight of Allah is Islām. (3:19)

The claim that the innovated religion of “Judaism” (Talmudic, Rabbinical) —[formulated more than a thousand years after Ibrāhīm, Isḥaq and Yaʿqūb (عليهم السلام)—is alone in possession of guidance and truth is false and rejected, for it is known that Judaism is nothing more than a reformulation and adulteration of the Torah of Mūsā (عليه السلام) and a syncretisation.

The Jewish Encyclopedia makes a distinction between the original Mosaic teachings and Rabbinic Judaism, a later development which has remained the main character of Judaism till today.[2] Jacob Neusner, a distinguished and highly published academic scholar of Judaism, writes:[3]

We have already seen substantial evidence that any notion of Pharisaism (or later rabbinic Judaism) as the true and direct descendant of the Old Testament is contradicted by the most fundamental assumptions of one Mishnah-tractate after another. These stand wholly separate from the Priestly Code—that biblical document relevant to our data—and generally contradict it.

In fact, the Jewish Encylopedia mentions that Judaism underwent frequent changes throughout the ages. It was strongly affected and moulded by the beliefs and practices of host nations such as Egypt, Persia and Babylonia.

03  ʿĪsā (Jesus) (عليه السلام) was not a Jew, But a Muslim, Worshipper of Allāh.

Upon what has preceded, ʿĪsā (عليه السلام) was not a “Jew” in religion and he was not following “Judaism”. Rather he was upon the way of Yaʿqūb (Isrāʾīl), a Muslim, a worshipper of Allāh, and he was sent to these lost people, who had replaced what Mūsā (عليه السلام) brought with what they brought from themselves (2:79-).

Thus, the Christians who deified Jesus, are not “Jew-worshippers” but they deified a Noble Prophet and worshipped him alongside Allāh, and this is their associationism. And the Jews in turn, when they saw the misguidance of the Christians, used it to further denigrate Jesus, and to wallow in their rejection.

Thus, Jesus (عليه السلام) is free of both the Jews and the Christians, and the Qurʾān clarified the plain truth for both of them in this affair, which they differed over and displayed enmity to each other.

Refutation of the Rabbi - Specific

ONCE THESE PRELIMINARY POINTS have been cleared, about the way of Ibrāhīm (عليه السلام) and his offspring, their religion of Islām founded upon true Monotheism (Tawḥīd) and how Jesus (عليه السلام) was not a Jew, but a Muslim, and worshipper of Allāh from among the Banī Isrāʾil, a Prophet and Messenger sent to them, whom the Jews rejected and the Christians deified, then we can look specifically at the issue of Jew-worship discussed by the Rabbi, piece by piece.

01  His statement that until Christianity most of the world was pagan and that Christianity and Islam brought Monotheism to the world and paved the road for Mashiach.

Jesus (عليه السلام), Son of Mary the Chaste (عليها السلام)—may consecutive curses be upon those who malign her and accuse her of enormities—is the True Messiah and he will return, a matter decreed by Allāh, to abolish idolatry, establish the truth and to kill the False Messiah, the Dajjāl (Arch-Liar). What he came with was the religion of Abraham and Moses (عليهما السلام), that of Tawḥīd, and righteous, beneficial action.

Thereafter, Muḥammad (عليه السلام) brought the completion of the affair, returning the Pagan Arabs to the way of their forefather, Ibrāhīm (عليه السلام) and he clarified the errors of the Jews and Christians with the Qurʾān, guiding them to the truth in that in which they differed.

These last two Messengers did not come to pave the way for Mashiach as you claim, by bringing a defective and compromised Monotheism which your awaited Mashiach will complete and perfect (through universal “Jew-worship”), rather, they were sent by Allāh to rectify the servant and the land with the true religion, that of Ibrāhīm (عليه السلام), founded upon pure Monotheism, and treating all men and women, alongside their variation in colour and tongue, equals before their Lord.

However, your ancestors rejected them both, holding on to an altered, innovated, syncretised and abrogated religion, in which the Rabbis were elevated to lords alongside Allāh. Further, you revile the Christians for worshipping a “Jew” and declare them idolators, and yet you elevated yourselves to the status of lords and demand worship from both your followers and of the nations!

All of this falsehood has been exposed and invalidated:

They have taken their scholars (rabbis, priests) and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded (in the Torah and the Gospel) except to worship one God; there is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him. (9:31).

According to the Rabbi, Christians worshipping Jesus is “Jew-worship”—with this being, from alleged divine wisdom, an intermediate stage for bringing Pagans to Monotheism—and what is this so-called Monotheism he claims to be in possession of: It is the worship of every Jew as God, true Monotheism!

02  His statements: “What Christianity said about one Jew…is really the truth about every Jew.”, “...they took one Jewish kid [Jesus] and they turned him into something that is divine.”

This is the misguidance of the Christians (especially of Rome), they aggrandized and deified Jesus (عليه السلام). The Qurʾān rejected this and Jesus will exonerate and free himself on the Day of Judgement and make clear that he only called to the worship of one Lord, which is Allāh (5:116-). And prior to that, when he (عليه السلام) returns, he will falsify the Christian's worship of him, and those who remain from the people of past scripture, Jews and Christians, after he kills the False Messiah, they will all believe in him.[4]

03  His statements amounting to the claim that Jews are God (Hashem): “The world looks at a Jew and what does the world see? A manifestation of Hashem (God) in this world”, “When you're looking to worship God, you're going to choose a Jew as the representation of God in this world”, “This [the Christian worship of Jesus] will become the definition of every Jew.”

What difference there is between the Monotheism of Ibrāhīm (عليه السلام) and of Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the Monotheism of this Jewish Rabbi?! In his view, Hashem {God], from divine wisdom saw it best to accustom people to Jew-worship in the form of Christianity first, so that when Mashiach comes, the time will be ready for true Monotheism to be established.

And is that to single out Allāh with worship, as was the way of Ibrāhīm, Ishāq, Yaʿqūb, Mūsā and Īsā (عليهم السلام)?

No, its the worship of every Jew as God. True Talmudic Monotheism! Idolatry and Paganism mixed with racism and ethno-supremacism masquerading as Tawḥīd.

04  His statements: “There is a symbol here of what is going to happen in the future, when Mashiach comes…”, “When they took one Jewish kid [Jesus] and they turned him into something that is divine … this is actually a forerunner of Mashiach”, “They chose one Jew, when Mashiach comes that’s every Jew”, “When the Messiah comes, they are going to feel: ‘ I want to serve the Jew’.”, “The whole world, gentile world are going to serve them (Jews) as Godly.”

This is the “Tawḥīd” of the Rabbinical Jews! And it is this “Tawḥīd” that their Messiah, al-Masīḥ al-Dajjāl will establish for them, in their view.

05  His statements: “Every Jew has a direct relationship with Hashem (God)… he is your direct source (to God).”, “Hence, the only way to God is through the Jews, they are the conduit.”

This, to the true people of Tawḥīd, the followers of Ibrāhīm, Mūsā, Īsā (عليهم السلام) and Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), is a violation of Tawḥīd and is associationism (shirk). It is take intermediaries between yourself and the Lord and Creator. Muslims, true monotheists, have been commanded to call upon Allāh alone, to seek Him directly, and to reject intermediaries, intercessors and the likes, which are the starting point of what eventually becomes idolatry.

Allāh (عز وجل) said:

And when My servants ask you, [O Muḥammad ], concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. (2:186)

All of mankind are servants of Allāh, He created and nourished them, and He informed them in authentic revelation that they are able to invoke Him directly. They do not require intermediaries or gatekeepers.

06  Regarding the claim that every Jew is holiness and godliness and a piece of God on earth, and that there is nothing more godly on earth than a Jew by virtue of his physical essence, irrespective of his words and deeds.

So it is clear then, that these Rabbis we have quoted are in agreement with the Christians from one angle and differ with them from another angle. To them, the mistake of the Christians is that they only took one Jew for worship, when in reality, all Jews should be taken for worship, because God does not just inhabit, and indwell in one Jew, but all Jews. Thus, when their Messiah comes, the reality will hit everybody, and all people of the nations (goyim) will seek a Jew to worship. True monotheism to them, but disbelief and idolatry (kufr, shirk) to the followers of the Prophets and Messengers.

Jesus (عليه السلام)—the Messiah of Truth—was humble and was not arrogant in worshipping Allāh, His Lord and the Lord of Mankind, and nor did he call anyone to worship him and his mother alongside Allāh. He was a Muslim, one who worship and submits to Allāh, and he was neither a Jew in religion, nor a Christian, as these are not names of true religion. They are person or tribe restricted titles, whereas “Islām”—submission to Allāh in worship and obedience—is a description of the reality that exists between Allāh and His servants whom He created as equals, both creational (in that the whole universe is under his control and regulation and thus submits to Him) and legislative (which is that He alone is worthy of worship and submission).

And from this, the error of both the Jews and Christians becomes apparent and their deviation from pure monotheism and true religion becomes clear.

Closing Remark

This Jewish Rabbi does not know Tawḥīd from Shirk (associationism). He speaks of the “Jew-worship” of the Christians as an "inferior monotheism", only to affirm it as a reality for every Jew when his Mashiach comes. This is a tribal, racist, ethno-supremacist religion not known to Ibrāhīm or any of his offspring. It is an innovation and a heresy concocted after the era of Sulaymān and Dāwūd (عليه السلام) and Allāh, the Lord of Ibrāhīm and Moses rejected it in his last and final revelation, the Qurʾān.

A Note on Muslims and Antisemitism

Muslims are strictly forbidden to criticise and belittle people on grounds of race and ethnicity. Hence, Islamically, it would be impermissible to engage in "antisemitism", given that this term has been used in relation to race and ethnicity, even though in its origin, it is related to language.

The word “Semite” refers to people descended from the ancient southwestern Asia and include Phoenicians, Canaanites, Akkadians, Arabs, Hebrews and some Ethiopians. The word comes from “Sem” the son of Nūḥ, from whom all these groups descended. Of the twelve tribes of Israel, ten were allegedly “lost” when their kingdom (Samaria) was taken by the Assyrians in 722 BC. However, this appears to be a way to conceal the likelihood that some among these tribes are found among the Italians, Armenians, Turks, Iranians (those that migrated out) and most of them are among the Syrians, Jordanians, Palestians, Iraqis. They would have subsequently became “Christians”[5] and then Muslims after the sending of Jesus (عليه السلام) and Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) respectively. Arabs are true “Semites”, having retained their linguistic and racial purity whereas European Askhenazi Jews are not, they are of mixed and diluted ethnicity due to a long history of intermarriage with foreigners.

There are Jews of various ethnic backgrounds, the European Ashkenazis, the Sephardim, likewise there are Persian, or Eastern Jews (Mizrahim), there are Yemeni Jews, Ethiopian Jews of darker complexion, there are Chinese (Kaifeng) Jews and so on. Thus, “Judaism” and being a “Jew” is not about race or ethnicity, though it is claimed to be.

In that case, it is established that much of modern Jewry is a by-product of intermarriage with gentile women. The vast majority (at least 95%) of Modern Jewry is of European Askhenazi stock. Claims of racial purity are dubious and some Jews, such as Schlomo Sand have authored works demonstrating that the very notion of the "Jewish People" is an invention.

Given this reality, even the word “antisemitism” is highly dubious. It has been weaponised in the modern era by the Zionists, to shield and advance their occupationist (to use the words of Ariel Sharon), colonialist project. “Its a trick, we always use it.” Further, the Judaics (Judahites) are only one tribe among the Israelites as a whole, and given that the Israelites are only one small segment of Semites as a whole (which include many races or nations), then this weaponised use of “semite” and “semitism” and “antisemitism” returns to identity theft or identity hoarding.[6]

An illustration of Jewish racial purity:

The most racially pure and preserved in their Semitism, in both race and language, are the Arabs, something confirmed in the Jewish Encyclopedia under the entry of “Semites.”

The 1906 edition states:[7]

The Arabs in the desert fastnesses of central and northern Arabia have, on account of their isolated position, preserved unchanged more features of primitive Semitic character, custom, and language than any other Semitic nation; the conditions of life have always been too hard to permit the development of any high state of civilization. But Arabia from time immemorial has poured forth wave upon wave of Semites over the surrounding lands; and finally, under the influence of Mohammed in the seventh century of the current era, Arabia became for a time a great world-power.

The most vicious, vile and denigrating antisemitism today is in fact against Arabs, not against Jews. See: The Antisemitism of Ernest Renan and European Nations.

In the Qurʾān, the historic Banī Isrāʾīl (Children of Israel, Jacob) are praised, having being favoured over the nations of their time with revelation and prophethood, and on account of their uprightness upon Tawḥīd, righteousness, obedience and observance of the law. They were praised for their actions and qualities, not race or ethnicity. And then when those among them who call themselves “Jews” deviated and displayed blameworthy traits and qualities, they were censured and rebuked for their actions, not because of their race and ethnicity. This has nothing to do with race or ethnicity, it is to do with belief and conduct.

Racial and tribal bigotry and ethno-supremacism are forbidden in Islām and are considered to be from the traits of Jāhiliyyah (pre-Islāmic days of ignorance and backwardness).

Allāh, the Creator and Lord of Mankind, created men for His worship, for their unity, benefit and well-being, and all of mankind was upon one religion prior to Noah (عليه السلام). Further, He created men with different complexions, colours and languages, as manifestations of His Lordship (30:22-). The claim that Allāh created the whole universe just for one group of people, and that all other people were created to serve just one race or one ethnicity is the most vile and despicable form of racism.

For this reason, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) declared to his nation that no Arab is superior to a non-Arab and vice versa and no person of red, or white or yellow complexion is superior to one of black complexion and vice versa. Virtue and excellence are only on account of piety which lies in the heart (and translates into righteous deeds).

Further, he also advised that it be said—without any shame, hesitance, diplomacy or politeness—to the one who calls to this type of racial, tribal or ethnic bigotry—to suck his father's private part, since that is the place he came out of.

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:

For this reason, he among the scholars said what he said that this indicates the permissibility of explicitly mentioning the name of the private part due to need [in the situation] and for the beneficial interest. And it is not from the filthy, vulgar [language] that has been prohibited. Just as it occurs in the ḥadīth of Ubayy bin Kaʿb from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) that he said: “Whoever you hear calling to the call of Jāhiliyyah [of pride in one’s descent and stoking tribal bigotry], then tell him to suck his father’s penis [as mockery, derision and belittlement], and do not be polite [in saying so].” Related by Aḥmad. [8] Ubayy bin Kaʿb heard a man saying: “O so and so” [calling out of tribal partisanship], so he said: “Suck your father’s penis.” So there was said to him [words of blame and censure for vulgarity], so he said: “Allāh’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) commanded us with this.”[9]

This has been explained by Muslim scholars as being similar to corporal punishment, meaning, the prescribed punishments for certain major sins, as a deterrent, in that this is the response and punishment for the one who manifests this type of pride and stokes bigotry, so that he is humiliated, so that this type of sentiment is never allowed to gain hold in the hearts of people, and so that all the evils arising from it (war, death, destruction, division) are cut off from their roots, in preservation of society.

This is from the perfection of the guidance of the Prophet Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and shows that this guidance is from the Creator of the Lord of the Worlds. Allāh made mankind into nations and tribes so that they may know each other and observe each other’s rights (49:13-), and that they see the variation in their colours and tongues as signs of Allāh’s Lordship (30:22-).

So this is what we say to all racial, tribal and ethnic supremacists, go and suck the private-parts of your fathers, revel in your bigotry, enjoy it, and we will aptly describe you as a family or tribe or nation of suckers of their fathers' private parts—for want of a shorter phrase—be you Anglo, European or American white-supremacists, German or Ukrainian Nazis or Jewish ethno-supremacists, and likewise, people of any race, ethnicity or nationality, whether European, Arab, Indian or Chinese, so that mankind can see you for what you are, and so that the evils arising from such bigotry are cut off from their roots.

In short, Muslims reject antisemitism—belittlement on account of race and ethnicity—and we also reject racial and tribal bigotry, inclusive of Jewish ethno-supremacism, keeping in mind that plenty of Jews reject and denounce this ethno-supremacism.

Critiques of actions and behaviours, because of those behaviours being wrong, harmful to others, immoral, or unjust is not denigration of the ethnicity of the perpetrator. Thus, if the Russian, Chinese, Italian or Jewish Mafia are critiqued and condemned because of their actions, its not anti-Russian, anti-Chinese, anti-Italian, anti-Jewish or “anti-Semitic” to do so. All people of sound intellect know this.

In closing, it is important to note that what has preceded does not mean that you cannot have a sense of feeling, belonging and loyalty towards your tribe or nation and affinity to your culture, as that is something natural. There is nothing wrong with preserving one’s roots and culture, because this is a natural variation in creation and is a sign from the signs of Allāh’s Lordship over His creation, in that he made mankind of various colours and complexions. What is being referred to is bigotry, elitism, supremacism and denigration.
