To proceed, this earthquake is something by which Allāh (عز وجل) reprimands the servants, and I have written to all the provinces that [the people] should come out on that day and anyone who has something should give charity with it, for Allāh (عز وجل) said:

He succeeds who purifies [his soul] and remembers [only] the name of his Lord and then prays.^[2]

And say as Ādam said:

They both said: O our Lord, we have wronged ourselves and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers. ^[3]

And say as Nūḥ said:

And unless you forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.^[4]

And say as Yūnus said:

There is none worthy of worship but you, indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.^[5]
