Below is advice from 9th May 2020 which was given to a student of knowledge in the UK over Whatsapp in a voice note, this is a verbatim transcription. For some general background information, please refer to an earlier article: Advice Regarding Hardships During Lockdowns.

As is being exposed in parliaments across the world (United Kingdom, European Union, Australia), on the tongues of senators, and in lawsuits, Covid-19 was a staged, faked pandemic to sell serums and injections and for advancing other agendas.

This does not mean that people did not become ill and die.

However, regular, routine and seasonal illnesses (flu, pneumonia) were rebranded through fraudulent tests, and most of the initial deaths were caused by the treatments (respiratory suppressant drugs and mechanical ventilation), not by the actual illness itself. Had they been treated for their actual illness (flu, pneumonia) according to pre-2020 proven and established protocols, they would not have died so quickly and suddenly.

However, there were huge financial incentives for hospitals to put people on these treatments. Most of the people who died were obese and/or elderly with multiple comorbidities. Most of the young and healthy who died, died from induced fear and the harsh medical treatment, not the illness itself.

Note: The reason for publishing this and similar articles is because a lot of rumours, doubts, false accusations were spread about my position and my writings during 2020 and 2021. To the extent that extremely harsh and unwarranted judgements were passed as a result of some people striving to tarnish me and have me spoken against. I was slandered by being imputed with the way of ʿAmr bin ʿUbayd al-Muʿtazilī and the Quṭbiyyah towards the Scholars, which is a slander worse than being falsely accused of fornication.[1]

One student of knowledge from the US tried to get the Muftī of Saudi Arabia to speak against me and whoever held my position. There were others carrying things to other mashāyikh with the same intention. Many people spoke with bravery and bravado, making digs, insinuations and jibes on Twitter and social media. So this and similar articles are simply to set the historical record straight now that the dust has settled and smoke has cleared.

The Advice

What I am trying to do is I am trying to shield the scholars and rulers from being attacked at some point in the future... If I try and explain to you in as concise a way as possible...

The guidance which is being implemented in all countries across the world more or less, all of this guidance is coming from the World Health Organisation. And that’s why you are seeing the exact same guidelines being implemented pretty much everywhere.

And that’s because the World Health Organisation has almost 200 member countries,[2] and because they are seen as a credible organisation which is following the science, and we know that is not true, they are a bought-out organisation which has been hijacked.[3]

So they are giving these guidelines, and so what is happening is that all of the countries, including the Muslim countries, they are implementing the guidelines. So the rulers, along with the health bodies, the health institutions are then implementing these guidelines upon the population.

So up until this point you can say, fine, no problem, the rulers are making an ijtihād and they are making decisions which they believe are in accordance with the best interests of the population. And then the scholars are saying obey the rulers, obey the guidelines. And they are coming from the angle of the principle in the Sunnah that you obey the rulers in whatever is not unlawful.

Note: As an example of this, please refer to: Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī on Distancing in the Prayer and Previous Plagues and Outbreaks in the Era of the Salaf and the Companions.

You will see the difference between the answer of a deeply-rooted scholar, and between the hasty and zealous who try to find dubious narrations and alleged evidences for these novel measures (destructive lockdowns, universal distancing and masking policies which in themselves promote fear and superstition and are scientifically baseless), and then trying to make it appear as if the scholars are the ones who are driving and masterminding the pandemic response, and that unless you agree with them (i.e. the exaggerationists) and their faulty understanding, you are opposing the scholars and reviling them.

Continued:

This is what I have been trying to explain to people that this is what is going on. If you correctly understand this scenario, the rulers cannot be attacked nor can the scholars, because the rulers are making ijtihād... and so therefore, there is nothing wrong with this. Alḥamdulillāh they are rewarded for their good intentions if they are mistaken.

And as for the scholars, they are defended, they called to action upon the Sunnah, which is to obey the rulers in whatever is not unlawful. There is no blame upon them at all. Because they have simply commanded with the Sunnah. This is what I have been saying and presenting to people from the very beginning...

Note: This is in reference, not to measures that can be derived from the texts, such as preventing travel to and from the place of an outbreak and the healthy keeping away from the actually sick, but to the novel, dubious measures that have no scientific basis. If we say that the scholars are advising with these measures from the angle of obedience to the rulers, then this is the Sunnah, even if we suffer hardship. We obey to maintain order. No one can attack or blame the scholars for advising with this, for advising with the Sunnah.

And anyone who attacks the rulers and scholars, then we refute them, and I was the first to refute some Ḥizbiyyīn who began to attack the rulers of Saudi for restrictions in Makkah and Madīnah, this was in February 2020. So this is a matter agreed upon by all, that from the angle of order and unity, we obey the rulers, even if it involves hardship, and we look to our own sins as the cause of that.

Continued:

Now, if you want to come from a different angle and you want to start making it look as if the scholars are coming out with these specific guidelines. What some people have been doing is trying to find some āthār and put the label: “Social distancing in Islam 1400 years ago” and then the narration doesn’t even prove that. And then you want to make it look as if the scholars are the source of this type of istidlaal [deduction of evidence].

In other words, in this model [of dealing with this issue] some people are trying to make it look as if its the scholars who are coming out with: “stand six feet apart”, its the scholars who are coming out with these guidelines.[4] This is setting the scholars up to be attacked and ridiculed at some point in the future.

Because first of all I don’t know of any scholar in the whole history of Islam who has ever ever made istidlāl from any text in the Qur’an or the Sunnah that perfectly healthy people stay six feet apart from perfectly healthy people. I have never ever come across that. What I do know is that you quarantine the sick people. So these attempts which are being made, and I have seen four attempts so far by people, to support these guidelines, which are really coming from the World Health Organisation...

All that will happen here is that the scholars are being set up to be ridiculed at some point in the future, and that is what I want to be avoid[ed], and that’s from the very beginning. And I wanted to put a shield around the scholars from being ridiculed and from such absurd things being ascribed to them.

End of the quote.

Three years have now elapsed and one has to have blinkers and blinds not to see the realities. To the extent that even the mainstream tabloid news media is reporting on the abysmal failure of these "countermeasures" such as lockdowns, distancing and masks and their tremendous harm to society and economy.

Footnotes
1. In late 2021, when this situation reached a crescendo and statements were made in Ḥafr al-Bāṭin, I issued a general clarification to quosh the issue, so as not to escalate it, knowing that in a year or two's time, the issue will become crystal clear, and undeniable. Namely, that this Covid-19 Pandemic was a total scam, it was simply to sell serums and injections, as in previous faked pandemics, but this time with numerous other agendas at play as well.
2. Around 190 countries, includng Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, have agreed to the International Health Regulations (IHR) by the WHO, and this includes various measures that these countries have agreed to implement, whenever the WHO declares a pandemic.
3. Refer to the Swine Flu Scam of 2009 for some information on the corruption of the WHO.
4. Rather, these guidelines are being implemented by the authorities, in collaboration with the WHO, and then the scholars are being referred to and being asked: “Is the prayer valid if we stand six feet apart?” and similar types of questions that relate to how acts of worship are affected by such guidelines. So the scholars give verdicts with respect to these types of scenarios. This does not amount to evidence that these measures are from Islām and can be derived from Islām. Some people are not grasping this matter, and they resort to faulty reasoning. In other words, just because the scholars gave a verdict that the prayer is still valid even if you stand six feet apart from each other, that does not mean that social distancing is from Islām, or that these scholars have argued in its favour. Rather, they have just given a ruling on whether the prayer is still valid and in doing so they may have used analogies from other texts in order to apply to this situation. But that does not mean that they are the ones who actually derived these measures themselves and called for their implementation.
